Sweden Day 2012/5/16

Tokyo Insititute of Technology, Graduate School of Decision Science and Technology has led the 5 year project with various activities, "Norden at Tokyo Tech" (year 2009 to year 2013). In this project, we target the Nordic countries as the model of excellent society with the harmony between technology and human-society. Our goal is to propose the solution how to apply the Nordic Model to Japanese Society toward the effective utilization of technology, based on the discussion through the project.

This time, we will hold one day event, Sweden Day with joint sponsorship by Center for the study of World Civilizations and the Graduate School of Information Science and Engineering. The programs will be simultaneously reported between TIT and Gotland by RICOH Unified Communication System. Also, we will provide the audiences with Hearing Assistance System using Hearing Loop, researched by Tokyo Tech Solution Research Laboratory . Moreover, the programs will be monitored by Tokyo Tech project, International Internet Broadcasting.

    *Lecturer:Head of Nyckelharpa Japan, founded in 2007. Actively conducts the performance and lessons of Nyckelharpa, Swedish folk instrument.

    *Lecturer:Graduated from Tokyo Tech in 1975.Professor Emeritus of Tokyo Tech. Director of Center for the study of World Civilizations. Present post from April 2012.
