Learning from Nordic Society -Our Activities-


Events

Every autumn, we have organized one week events, focusing on one of the Nordic countires.Therefore, activities range from academic lecture and symposium to various kinds of presentations, exhibitions,and activities which needs active involvement by participants.As for the participants, we welcome the citizens and residents of community, besides the students and faculties of Tokyo Tech.The events has been supported by Tokyo Tech 130th Anniversary project.

Summer School

We have regulary sent the exchange students from Graduate School of Decision Science and Technology(DST) to summer school held by University of Jyvaskyla in Finland, as well as the faculties for giving lectures.
University of Jyvaskyla is one of the best universities in Finland with 40,000 students including adult life-long students, based on the foundation of Finland's first Finnish language teacher training colledge established in 1863.During the summer school, students can carry out their learning following the area of their interests by choosing the class among about 20 courses organized. All the courses are offered in English, having the students of all over the world from various academic backgrounds.Students also can enjoy the valued experience in learning Finnish society and culture through many programmes arranged by university.
